What to build

Extend the "hide paid articles" setting to paid newsletter posts. Interconnects and Ahead of AI (and other Substack-hosted Sources) publish some posts for paid subscribers only; their feed contains just a teaser plus a paid-subscriber notice. With "hide paid articles" on, these posts are hidden like heise+ or SPIEGEL+ articles, in every tab, and count towards the hidden-articles number.

The paid notice is already in the feed, so no extra page request is needed.

Acceptance criteria

  • With "hide paid articles" on, paid Substack posts are hidden in Today and the Learn tab
  • With it off, they show as before
  • Free posts from the same Sources are not hidden
  • Unit tests cover a paid and a free Substack feed item
